2011 Border Angus Herd Competition – Results
First, I must take this opportunity to thank all the Border Aberdeen Angus herds who entered this very new Border Angus herd competition. I know at this time of year, time, is very scarce especially given the very unpredictable weather we have experienced.
As this is the first time the Border Angus club has held such a competition the club decided to stick to a very basic format that would suit any herd of any size and they asked the renowned and acknowledged expert Mr Ian Anderson to judge the competition.
Ian we are very grateful for your time and expertise and we are glad we finally got you in the Borders!!!!
Each herd was eligible to enter as many entries as they wish in the following four classes:
Ian was asked to judge between 8 Stock Bulls, 13 Bull calves, 11 Heifer Calves and 4 classes of cows with calves at foot from the following herds: Wedderlie, Threeburnford, Ellin, Rulesmains, Borewell, Hallington, Eildon and Cheeklaw.
